Regulations on technology application (trial)

Notification on publication of the trial regulation on 800/900MHz band radio frequency identification (RFID) technology application

Radio mnagement offices (bureau) of various provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, and the state radio monitoring centre:
  In order to meet China’s economic development requirements of 800/900MHz band RFID technology application, according to China’s radio frequency division and industry development condition, and converging toward international standards, the trial regulation on 800/900MHz band RFID technology application is set up. It is hereby promulgated and, comes into force as of today.

一、Specific application bands of 800/900MHz band RFID technology are 840-845MHz and 920-925MHz.
二、RF indicators of radio transmitting equipment of this band of RFID technology
  1.Tolerance of carrier frequency: 20 X 10-6;
  2.Channel bandwidth and channel occupied bandwidth (99% of energy): 250kHz
  3.Channel centre frequency:
   fc(MHz)=840.125+N×0.25 and
   fc(MHz)=920.125+M×0.25(N, M are intergers,value from 0 – 19);
  4.Adjacent channel power leakage ratio: 40 dB (first adjacent channel), and 60 dB (second adjacent channel)
  5.Transmitting power:

  6.Working mode is frequency-hopping spread spectrum, the maximum time of presence in each frequency-hopping channel is 2 seconds;

  8.Conduction harassment transmitting of power port and telecom port should meet international standards GB9254-1998, type B limit requirements of equipment.
  9.The equipment transmitting power and frequency tolerance should meet corresponding technical indicators under the manufacturer claimed working voltage and temperature limits.

三、Managing the RFID technology radio transmitting equipment of this band according to micro-power (short-range) radio equipment.
   Before the equipment is put into use, it has to obtain a radio transmitter model permit issued by the Ministry of Information Industry. 800/900MHz band RFID is a new radio application technology, and has wide applications. In order to prevent potential radio interference, radio management bodies of each level should strengthen the management of RFID equipment of this band. Detecting and dealing with radio interference to ensure the steady development of RFID technology application of this frequency band.
